Well, I finally got here. The plane ride was awesome, I absolutely loved looking out the window, both looking at the ground and the wing itself. (Go figure. =P ) And I was taken totally aback by the sheer size of the Denver airport. Where else can you find a building so big it needs an internal train to get you from one end to the other? Don't answer that, I'm sure there are plenty. But none that I'd ever seen. Busses were a bit of a hassle, but I got where I'm going and the hotel room is good. They'll get a good review from me when I go back. :) Free WiFi for the win! Anyway, more tomorrow.

Okay, I must confess to being a bit nervous. I'm sitting in the terminal at the airport, about to take the first flight I've ever really taken. (Anyone who knows what I do will probably find that to be ironic, not to mention amusing.) Still don't see the airplane outside the window, though It's supposed to pull up soon. I like the cooler temperatures, though, so I expect this will be fun. I'm gonna check out the University of Colorado, might end up going there if things work out. Got several interviews and a few things to go and do and see. (If you know of anything else I "must do" while I'm there, drop a comment, please!) No interwebs on the airplane, so I'll just have write on the other side. Looking forward to seeing the view out the window!

The start of the tales...

Well, someone convinced me to start a livejournal. For a long time I had said I wasn't going to, on principle. First off, I generally don't want my whole life on display for the world at large. Second, it seemed a bit vain. Finally, and most depressing, who would actually read the thing?

Yet, here I am, writing the first entry. I'd love to start this off with something fantastic, uplifting, and exciting. But the truth is that I don't feel any of that right now. This isn't some gothicly laid out angst-ridden diary, but I do find myself somewhat lonely, all the more acutely aware of it for the examples of others I see. And time isn't stopping for me to find someone, either.

Now that is a promising start to this, isn't it? Maybe I'll post something again later, when I've gotten a bit back in order.

Oh, and blame goes to serenadesha for getting me to start this.
